Community
Outreach Programme
Under
this programme, puppeteers and community educators interact
with communities on a wide range of socio-cultural and development
issues. These issues include general and reproductive health,
HIV/Aids education and awareness, environmental conservation,
drug use and abuse, gender, corruption, transparency and integrity
and human rights among others. CHAPS also undertake product
promotions for commercial companies through puppetry.
Puppetry Training
This training targets individuals and organizations involved
in advocacy, community outreach programs and social marketing.
The courses offered include:

Beginners Puppetry Courses -residential courses offered
for a maximum of for 14 days for 20 participants in groups
of four or five persons. The course components include message
development, construction and manipulation of puppets

Puppetry and Folk Media TOT Courses -residential and non-residential
courses offered for 21 days for between 10 - 15 participants.
These include skills in drama, music, dance, poetry, story
telling as well as puppetry. Planning, management and leadership
skills are also introduced.
