INVITATION TO THE 4TH EDITION OF THE KENYA INTERNATIONAL
PUPPETRY FESTIVAL 2009.
The
Union Internationale
de la Marionette (UNIMA) Kenya Chapter and Communiy Health
Awareness Puppeteers (CHAPS/FPSS) will host the 4TH Edition
of the Kenya International Puppetry Festival. The Festival
with the theme “Cultural Diversity for Peace and
Unity Through The Art of Puppetry” is dedicated
to creating peace in the world. KIP Festival 2009 will
be held from 10th to 17th October 2009 in Nairobi Kenya.

KIPF
Festival 2009 aims to: -
Develop and promote the art of puppetry in Kenya and
other African countries both as an art form and a tool
for social by encouraging cultural exchange, creativity,
improving puppetry skills and enhancing the quality
of puppet theatre performances in Africa.

To
establish an interest in and support for puppetry as
a cultural and educational medium in Kenya.

To
encourage creativity, improve puppetry skills and enhance
the quality of puppetry performances by Kenyan puppeteers.

To
establish puppetry exchange and support networks.
The
festival will feature diverse presentations through workshops,
round table discussions, exhibitions and puppetry performances
by teams drawn from various parts of the world.
The Kenya International Puppetry Festival (KIPf 2009) Organizing
Committee invites you to participate in the forth coming
